In accordance with new advisories from the CDC and mandates from local government, we have modified our activities, rides, and attractions to be social-distancing friendly. We’ve also implemented new, more frequent cleaning and sanitizing protocols. For example, rides will still run; however, passengers will be spaced further apart and therefore, the rides will run longer so as to accommodate all. The pool will open Memorial Day Weekend, perhaps with maximum capacity measures in place. As the situation is rapidly changing, we’re continuing to the implement and update our procedures accordingly. Our priority is to follow CDC guidelines and state regulations and to keep everyone safe.
From the moment we knew we would be re-opening, we got right to work on putting things in place to make sure we could offer the “Bucktail Experience” so all of our guests could have a fun-filled stay with wonderful memories as has been the case for the past 35 years of our operation! This took some thinking outside the box, but it has resulted in some great new ideas. For example, we will still have the D.J. Saturday nights, but we will be broadcasting this via a radio frequency so that each family can engage in the “Family Dance Party.” This will be true of Friday night Bingo as well, with a system for calling in “Bingo!” We’re also creating trails in our extensive woods which will be marked for various levels of difficulty, so they’ll be great for any age group. And there’s plenty more we’ll be rolling out in the coming weeks to continue to offer the Bucktail Experience for our guests, even in these unique times!
Rest assured, as soon as it is abundantly clear that it is safe to resume usual activities, we will. In the meantime, there’s still plenty of camping fun to be had in Mansfield…. as you can see, 2020 is STILL going to be the year of family and fun here at Bucktail Camping Resort!
